Default question about the title transfer

I'm buying an IS250 from this guy who still owe $17k with toyota financial. Is it possible to pay the buy-out amount and have the title mail directly to me under my name instead of mailing to him and still under his name?

We planed to let him pay it off and have the title mailed to him, but then I have to transfer again, pay tax, and I will be the 2nd owner. I would prefer to have it mail direct to me under my name. Does anyone know? please help thx!

You go to the dealer and they can take care of it for you. You pay him the 17k or whatever he ask for, pay the car off right there and then at the dealer and they can have the pink slip transfer to you under your name.

Yeah, but will title mail to me under his name, with toyota release its interest or will they mail me a brand new title with just my name on it?

When you are at the dealership, have the seller let the dealer know to have the title in your name because he is selling the car or what so ever. The dealer should do this no problem as long as the car is paid off.
