Default New IS350 owner

Happy to say that I just got a 2008 IS 350. Going through the manual (what a beast), I noticed that in addition to the two keys, there is a third piece with a number on it in case you need to make more keys. I can not find that third piece. Will I be able to get that number from a Lexus dealer?

To make a new key they use your VIN number... its literally on every piece of your car

Congrats on the 350

Glad to hear that you are reading the manual, something every new owner should do...

As for the key code tab on the keys...you really don't need that, GiantsFan is right, if they need to get you a new key they can just use your VIN...

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm pretty excited so far..no buyer's remorse yet!

Got a 2008 IS 350 with only 8k miles. Seems to be pretty loaded w/18 in wheels, almost every option I can think of except for Levinson sound system.

Will get some pics soon and hope to learn more about my car here.

Yea, I been reading the manual here and there. Its a lot to take in, taking a section at a time. What package does your car have? Congrats, 8k is a great find for an 08.
