Value??
I have an '08 IS350....
So long story short... a couple months ago I got rear ended.. by two cars. How much value do you think my car has dropped? Obviously I got it all repaired and almost all my rear end is brand new parts.
I will say however...this car is ridiculous strong. One of the cars got totalled and the other one couldn't be driven away. I feel lucky!

$100!! That's a deal! Lol.
I don't really have any pictures of it because it looked like my bumper was just scratched up. When I took it too the shop, they basically re-built my entire back end. When they removed the bumper, everything was basically mush. The only thing they didn't replace was the trunk lid. That's it!! So I'm thinking my car dropped lots of value?

Don't trip...keep the pics if you ever want to sell it to prove the accident vs. the Carfax. Also, outta something bad comes something good! you got a new bumper and paint> I would have got a new exhaust, shaved the emblems and got a rear gfx out of it though!!!
How does info pop up on carfax? I never actually knew how that worked.
And I know it doesn't look so bad. You should see the other cars! Looked horrible!!!!
I understand that CarFax pulls from various sources - insurance companies, the DMV, police reports, etc. If you can, try to file as little paperwork as you can. In particular, there's a form you're supposed to submit to the DMV whenever your vehicle incurs more than X amount of damage (like $700 or something). Submitting that form will probably get your accident to show up on CarFax for sure. Not that I condone not doing everything by the books... just saying.

Your car should be ok, not losing much value. If it still has a clean title and the work was done by professional then I don't see the problem. It wasn't bad enough for insurance to total it.
