Performance or Looks? (New to Forums)
unless its AWD i still don't understand why ppl buy 250's. my wheel guy was telling me about some guy who ordered a new 250 with the entire f-sport package... just bizarre. gas mileage i guess but doesn't make sense to buy a lexus and try and save on gas.. oh well
i would change the wheels before dropping it if cash becomes limited. pick the wheels you like first, that will determine everything else. oh and i would tint before i drop it... and i dont think black would look so good on silver, but i'm no big fan of chrome either... maybe a matte silver finish wheel would be a cleaner look and you won't have to fuss with your emblems and grill.

Definitely Looks. The only significant performance improvements you can make are to suspension.
You could also ad "sound" to the list of looks/performance because while exhaust may boost a couple horse power.....having a good sound is good in an of itself but definitely makes it sound like you're 250 might be fast (to someone who doesnt know lexus cars) haha.
If you get into modding then eventually, like me, you'll spend so much that you'll end up kicking yourself in the *** for have not gotten the 350.

I personally am highly disappointed by the lack of engine performance upgrades..or rather from what I have read..the lack of being able to upgrade the 250.
When I bought it I was not into modding beyond adding a new cd player and sub to my old 240sx.
When test driving, the 250 was a great deal so i went for it and didnt mind saving few bucks.
15 grand later I wish I could have redone it. But it's too late to go back. ANd from my understanding even swapping into a 350 engine requires a new transmission (maybe more, maybe i'm wrong). If i could just buy a 350 engine and swap it, even if some junkyard find. I'd be all over it.
