Window tint questions
1. Has anyone heard of the brand Solar Gard? Is it a respectable brand?
2. I read in the DIY there is an issue if the tinter uses a heat gun and some kind of molding bubbling? Is this in the interior or exterior of the car? Also do most tinters use heat guns? I guess thats something I should ask the guy
Update: The one tinter I spoke to says he only uses a heat gun on the rear window to help mold the tint. So am I good?

1. Solar Gard is very respectable. I have had it on for 4 years now, with no issues, no bubbling no fading. Actually the tint is lifetime guaranteed for "adhesive failure, bubbling, cracking, crazing, delamination, demetallization, peeling, or any other failure due to manufacturer’s defect."
Best bang for you buck, imo. There are better brands, but they also are way more $$$.
I just would stay clear of 3M or Johnson/Johnson cheap tint, and shops that use those tints exclusively. If you using an authorized Solar Gard shop, i'm sure they know what they are doing since they also understand that J&J 3M tint sucks.
