Default So I blew a tire..... Pics inside

So i was at school yesterday and something didnt seem right. I went to the Automotive department at school to air up the tire.... and it never held. So i get my stock and mount those on. Then i went to check out what happened with the tire on the Work Meister.... anyways huge gash on the inside of the tire. Looks like the tire just ripped. Im running 275/35/19 on an 11" rear I honestly hardly consider that a stretch. Never hit any pot hole or big bumps. Bought the tires brand new and have only driven about 1000 miles on em. Tires are Falken FK452. Anyways here are the pictures

for reference here is the BEST pic i have of the tires on the wheels... just to show its not a ridiculous stretch or anything.

Wow! That's a huge gash. Your tire and wheel specs are certainly within limits and not even consider excessively stretched. You should contact Falken Tires and see if they can compensate you. Doesn't hurt to try.

Damn! This could have been a lot uglier though. Glad there's not any damage to the car.

Any chance the tire may have been damaged while mounting on the wheel?

Theres a website with recommendations for tire sizes mounted in specs for the widths of a rim

also good thing i didn't just buy falkens.. i went with nittos.. i was going for hankooks but they didn't have a lot of size options.. but i just saved 300 bucks with the nittos instead. the more common the size the cheaper it is
