cabin air filter?
hey guys i saw the DIY post for the cabin air filter. great post. i want to change mine as the air isn't that fresh in the car anymore. on my 07 camry toyota charged me 70 to change it. so i dont want to ask lexus or toyota to do it on my is350. if i order from toyota which air filter do i ask for the camry? corolla? yaris?
you don't need to order it from toyota. you can go to any auto shop: napa, autozone, pepboys, etc. They'll have it, all you have to do is tell them what car you have.
I know someone prissy pants on this forum is going to say, "nooo! it has to be oem!"
lol

You can buy them from sewell: http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...-2010-102.html
Takes like 5 minutes to change out.

can you describe how exactally you did this? did you take the old filter out of the plastic, and just put the new filter in its place? or did you just stuff a peice of new filter into the existing hole?

2)Goto your car and take out the filter (take glovebox contents out etc)
3)Now using your old filter place it on top of the new 3M filter (start from the corner)
4) Just use some scissors and cut it into a square just like the old filter
5) Place the new 3M filter in the plastic box that holds it. (make sure you note the way the airflows goes)
6) Use the 3M sticker or if you have a navi with custom maintenance to remind to change every 6 months.
