Default HELP! Check Engine Check VSC

ok, so this morning, I turned on my car to go to school and i got the Check VSC warning, Check Engine Light, and Traction Control light. I was late for school so I ended up driving the car. It drives normally. Some say it might be the gas cap, so I checked the gas cap and sure enough, it was not all the way in. I tightened it, however the errors are still there. I heard that you have to disconnect the battery to clear the codes? No idea how to do that. Anyone know whats wrong?

Also got my first tint ticket for tint on the front windows. Sigh, today was not my day

EDIT: Erased the errors thanks to Kurtz's diagram. Haven't been able to drive the car yet. But we will see if they show up tomorrow.

to disconnect the battery all you have to do is unscrew a 10mm bolt on the negative terminal and take off the negative terminal. if you dont have the tool, its inside the tool kit that comes with your car. its super easy, just unscrew it and leave it off for 5 mins before putting it back on

the tool doesnt work as there is some plaque on the battery that is blocking the tool from reaching the bolt.

It'll go away on its own after you drive for a bit (if that was the actual problem).

BTW, no need to touch the battery if you ever want to reset the ECU, just pull the fuse-

let's hope it goes away. I've driven like 50 miles so far and the errors are still there. I'll try out the fuse techniques tomorrow. I need to pull all 3 correct? Also, is this the fuse box on the driver's side? or the one on next to the battery?

read your manual. It may tell you why and how to clear.

Same exact thing happened to me. Loose gas cap. How in the world that happened is beyond me. Anyway, I drove and drove and drove. Nope. No resetting. Called my service advisor at my Lexus dealership. He told me to stop by and he'd reset it in nothing flat. He did. In no time at all. No charge and all is well once again.

hmm, I would bring it to the dealer, but I'm scared that they might blame it on my intake.

As soon as they read the codes, they'll know if it's the gas cap. A loose gas cap causes an "evaporative emission system leak" DTC, a code that would never be caused by your intake. You could also bring it to AutoZone; they'll read your codes for free.

It happened to me. I got worried and called the dealer. They also said it could be the gas cap. I didn't think so cause I know it took three clicks to be on tight on my Honda. Took it in anyways and they told me it was the gas cap. Then as they drove it tio me fixed, it came on again. Then they said it was the intake and cylinders 4&5 were misfiring. I thought b.s. Then I read on the Megan coilover website that it was the springs and they didnt have a remedy. I wasn't so worried after that.
