Those wheels actually do come in 18". The G sedan sport versions had the 18" variant of that wheel. Almost looks like the same thing, the normal person wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It was for the 2005-2007 model years I believe.
Those rims do look good! Did you use hub rings to get the bore size right? I'm figuring now if you just did a temporary swap.
not to start an argument, but i've seen those 18's in person and while they LOOK like the oem rays 19's seen in this thread they don't have this stamped onto the wheel itself:
does that mean they're not manufactured by rays engineering for the g35? i don't know. however, i've only seen that stamping on wheels manufactured by rays engineering - oem and aftermarket. so, unless there's evidence that they are, i'm not inclined to believe that these come in 18's.
and yes, i recommend hubcentric rings so as to have the proper hub diameter for these wheels - but only if said person has plans to run these long-term.

I used to work for Infiniti. OEM Sport model G35 Sedans for like 2005-2007 came with those in 18" variants.
They are slightly slightly different in design. I'm not sure if they are made by Infiniti or if they outsource those to Rays as well. But they are for sure OEM wheels that come with the G35 Sport Sedans from the factory. (NOT on non-Sport models or AWDs)
mine has stood up to daily driving in southern california, and the roads here aren't perfect by any stretch of imagination.
that, and 245/40-19's are actually taller and skinnier tires, so they won't protect the wheel edge as well as shorter and wider tires (a la 255/35-19).
from what i've found the is-f wheels weigh 24 and 28 lbs. (front/rear). these oem rays 19's are 19 and 21 lbs by comparison, so a bit lighter.
since you're running a slightly thinner tire, you should be able to go to zero finger gap in the rear.
i run higher in the front to allow for suspension travel, though i think i can get away with running zero finger gap in the front as well.
i cant. because when its less then a finger gap the tire are literally on the fender. i would love to go lower but this time i cant plus they arent mine so just want to play it safe
