I like the dullness of this CF wrap. My CF trim is the glossy kind...I may have to switch to this.

Wanna say everybody has been doing a great job on this and thanks for sharing the pix. This will definitely be my next mod for surrrrre!! However, can any of you share some tips/mistakes to help members like me who's looking to do this.

Example: How did you wrap the cup holder lid? Heard this is one of the hardest part to wrap as extra material will prevent the lid from closing properly.

If you can share some tips/mistakes you made to help better the result for members like myself, it's greatly appreciated!

Aerotech my order has just been submitted!!!

thanks man! yeah wrapped the door trims as well. but took only two pics of them. the rear passenger one is kinda screwed up lol, cuz that was the first one i wrapped and i strectched it out too much. i bought the 48" x 24" bulk film for around $78 shipped to canada. still got some film left, maybe i should wrap my key fob next LOL

lol nice looking wallet rashoodz

is-k: yeah the cup holder lid is hard. the hardest part is definitely wrapping the rounded corners of the lid. because they're not sharp or straight edged, it's hard to smoothly wrap the corners. you have to heat it up really well so the film becomes super soft, and just try to stretch the film out as much as possible to cover the corners and then work your way through by pulling on the sides to smooth out the film on the corners, or else it'll crunch up together. i kept my blowdryer on while doing the corners to keep the film malleable. hope it helps. good luck wrapping, it's fun lol

shuturmout: thanks for sharing bro, your tips are duly noted. One further question, when you wrapped the cup holder lid, how did you cut out the piece? Should I cut like 10mm more material anticipating a little extra and then just trim it off? Would like to know your secrets to the "cutting-out" step or measurement step.

THANKS!!

I like a lot how you lined up the lines in the different pieces on the center console, cup lid and console side panels

Since you did the console side panels... What you think about doing the door handles part, and would the left-over be enough to cover all four?

is-k:
i have the 48 x 24 bulk film, so i can afford to be more generous when cutting the film. i left about 2 cm. but 1 cm would be fine. just rmb to really heat up the corners and strectch the film out to wrap them, and then just trim the excess. as for measuring the cut out, i just laid it on top of the bulk film (the back side is a grid), and then saw how many squares i needed WITH change, and then just cut it out.

dembou:
honestly, i didn't try to line up the lines. it just happened naturally lol. i only found out after putting everything back together. but i believe if you wrap them in the same "line-direction", they'll line up naturally together, give or take 2-3 mm.

the 48 x 24 bulk film is more than enough to wrap the 4 door trims, center console, ac vents, and key fob LOL.

as for the door handles, i'm not sure cuz i don't know how to take it out, so i can't measure it. butttt if you wrap everthing right on your first try, you should have enough to do the door handles.

Finally got a new color in.

Titanium, looks great as an option between the Dry Carbon and Dry Silver.
