Wow this actually works!!

I hear ya. So can one prevent this from happening just by more waxing and protection from the hot sun? I'm trying to figure out what actually causes it to get so bad...
I don't really know. It just started happening here in NM.. I think it might be something at my dealer were i always get my car washed. They already had to repaint my stock brakes (or replace, im not sure what they did) because they were turning white with grime.. Albuquerque water is awful. If you boil some water until it completely evaporates you get the most nasty calcium around the pan. Also you should see the cooler units. They have so much calcium and crud in 1 summer that I installed filters for my entire house water, even the toilet water.
what causes it to go bad is the sunlight. the sunlight oxidizes the lens and makes its hazy. by cleaning the lense or sanding it, you effectively remove the top most layer, which is the layer that gets hit by sun and becomes oxidize. overtime, your new layer underneath will eventually get hazy too. theres really no way to stop the hazing effect, you can only slowly it down
Nice!
Thanks for sharing, I was telling my mom to get this product for her 02 Highlander which has really bad hazing on the headlights
Now I can show her it really works and that I do have some cred haha

Glad to see the stuff works.
I just picked some of the Meguiers headlight stuff for my cars planned on trying it this spring.
as things worked out i just swapped out 2 cars (unplanned) and will not be using it after all.
