If mechanical performance is most important, then you want to stick with the stock offsets - +45mm front and +55mm rear. If you are concerned about getting your wheels flush, then you're more into visual performance and you'll need to look at the myriad threads we have using the keyword "flush" to get offset information.
I would not drive a car with "flush" wheels at the track. It's a bad idea in many ways. If your plan is to look good and impress the style and fashion crowd, run offsets making the wheels flush.
Thanks Lexi D for making this post. What are the "perfect" offset for the agressive stance? I'm thinking of getting Volk ProgressivMe 19" with F-Sport lowering springs.
front: 19x8.5 +23 offset *requires some heat gunning of the wheel well
rear: 19x9.5 + 27 offset *requires fender rolling, also note you may be able to go out another 5mm or so
*a further note is these will require a somewhat stretched tire - 225's in the front and 245's in the rear.
you wont be able to run these offsets with gygantoid 275 tires.
..you wont be able to run these offsets with gygantoid 275 tires.
That's funny. A car as heavy as the 2IS should be running 315s on all four corners. But that would be a mechanical performance mod, not a visual performance mod.
thanks mdgrwl. What if I'm going with 19" 8.5 offset +35 235/35 (front) 19" 9.5 offset +45 265/35 (rear). Will I encounter any problems such as rubbing, flushing, etc?
This is the question I posted....how will we know BBK will fit aftermarket wheel? I'm not a wheel expert but I'm certain it can easily be determined by the offset. The lower the offset +28, the more space you have between the rotors and spoke.
I found a crazy deal on a set of work vs-xx in size 18x8+26 front, and 18x9+20 rear. My question is will these size and offset fit nice and flush, and will i have any kind of rubbing issue. my car is stock at the moment, but have a set of coilover coming soon and car will be slam to the ground...lol
