Default CF wrap entire car??

Just wondering on you opinion guys. Looking at the price of the 3m CF wrap i can see myself wrapping the entire IS350 with it..

Just a farfetched thought at this point. What do you guys think? Any idea how it would look?? Too tacky??

Just googled and found this site.. look freaking awesome IMO.

What you guys think.

If the paint is shot, then it makes sense to do so.

The paint is still darn good except for a few rock chips. But isnt the point of wrapping, to be able to remove it later down the road safely??

Im strongly considering it.... but the wife has never seen CF in person. I showed her some pics and her reaction was "na ahh hell no that looks cheap" ...... this coming from the same woman who 1:wanted chrome wheels, 2: wanted Chrome door handles, grill, tailight surrounds and A pillar: 3: Thinks that me putting surround sound in the bath tub is "getto" (even thow we will be buying a tv for it and installing about 3k worth of tile) 4: Thinks the INGs 1 kit is "ugly and looks like a cat"...(wtf)... must i say more??

Hey shes half owner of the car so ill have to convince her first.... Plus if i do it ill be a few months anyways. How much am i talking about here.. hmm a 10x4 roll of 3m CF is about $250... so about.....1k on material... how much would the install cost 1k???

This type of CF looks good far away only, if you come closer and look at it in detail, it really looks tacky.

Interesting idea. I'd be interested to see how it comes out if you do this.

It looks like the MB is wrapped traditionally (meaning custom cut pieces of vinyl wrap for each panel). I'm thinking using rolls of the stuff would leave visible lines where the product matches up or overlaps, etc.

Well on the 3m website they sell 10x4 foot rolls. But they also have a link for custom cut rolls of any size. I think it would be cheaper for me to buy say, one 5x12 roll for each side so there is no cut lines, then use the left overs for parts like grill and bumpers. Then buy other smaller peaces for the hood, roof, and trunk as needed....

But like i said this is just an idea for now.

Make sure when you do the CF is going one way and not all over the place.

i think its a terrible idea. a fake cf hood or roof is bad. i think if you fake cf the entire car it would be sin. but hey, its your car.
