Default Temperature on my car blinking why?

So a two weeks ago i was flipping through the displays on the dash and left the temperature on, i thought i was hallucinating when i saw the temperature blinking for a while then stopped. This happened again a few days later, and then again yesterday. It comes and goes is anyone aware of this as an issue? Just wanted to know before I called the dealer

Good info!!

I've noticed that many times, and thought it was adjusting temps.

It's not constant--it's only when it first hits 37 on the way down. It's easy to miss.
