You have to disconnect the negative on the battery?

Can i just unplug the positive and leave the negative?

I don't want to unplug the negative because it would erase all my settings

Do everything at your own risk is what I say for people being stubborn.

I just used the torx bit and used adapters to use with my ratchet, best way to get enough leverage.

I'm already used to the feel haha, but driving is more enjoyable or more comfortable now. I drive up Canoga Ave. to go to work and for those that live in the 818 know it's ****. The drive is more tolerable now to my hands, I've noticed I don't fidget around as much haha, but that could be due to a handful of other factors.

Just got done installing the steering damper. Installation was fairly quick and easy. I do notice that the steering wheel is slightly tighter and has less of a shake when going over bumps. The improvements are very minimal though and to be honest, I think half of the feeling is all in the mind, LOL!

I might have to try this out. For $25, why not. Although I think our steering is so over assisted that it feel like it needs a 10lb weight hanging on it LOL.

Installed the steering damper on a 2006 IS350 and did not mention it to the wife, the primary driver. After 3 days of daily driving, she didn't mention anything about the steering feel at all.

Afterwards, I asked if the steering feels different and she said no....I suppose if you're not a driver enthusiast, it won't make a difference...

Installed mine today. Disconnected both battery cables to be on the safe side. Great DIY and install was about 15 minutes. Haven't driven it yet so I'm anxious to feel the results.

either that... or she's not sensitive to changes or adapts far too quickly...

Perhaps the damper is more noticeable on cars which are lowered on bigger rims?
