Default Need help installing V-LEDs DRL

Yes, I searched. I am looking for DRL help not parking light help.

I just received my V-LEDs 28 LED DRLs and bought 2 separate relays. To my surprise these harnesses come with a whole bunch of wires, not the two that is shown in the picture. The relays are also exceptionally bulky so I'm not even sure if I can fit it all into the DRL/Parking Light housing.

Does anyone know how I can go about installing this? Should I just ask for an exchange to the one shown in the picture?

The new 28 LED DRLs do not come with any relays, so I had to purchase the 9005 Relays off their site.

According to this guy from the ISF section https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ng-lights.html , the new relays replaced the old ones because of some problem. This one was tough to figure out so he brought it to the shop. I was wondering if anyone knows how to setup these new ones and help me out.

if your located in socal and if your showing up at the president's day meet i'll do it for ya there.

sounds like you got weird relays though, there shouldn't be that many wires, just a male and female connector on the capacitor(relay) one to hook into the original power connect and one end to go into the LEDs

edit: you should have 2 of these, one for each side

did you mean the 9005 DRL module? you linked the 9006.

anyway, the 28 LED is kinda different because it's high power. i'm not sure how to hook it up, but it says not to use the bulb directly with the DRL module, but use a HID relay harness on top of it. i was somewhat confused so i ended up getting the old 68 LED for simple connection.

heres the link to the 28 LED, may be you guys can figure it out.

Yeah, my girlfriend got me those, along with 2 HID relays http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-HID-F...-p6162160.html, which I think may be wrong now. So it looks like I will need 2 more of these? http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/D...97704-1-3.html

I have been emailing VLEDs also to see if they can help me but would much appreciate other input.

Did anyone install the HID relay? This may help with the installation.

I'm guessing you bought the newer 28 LED one that didn't come with the modules. The 2x brighter as advertised by VLED is attractive, but if it requires a lot more work, like what it seems like I think I might just return it for the 68 LED one. DRLs aren't suppose to be used for brightness anyways...
