I initally was looking at getting a BMW, but when I opened up consumer reports a month ago, 90 percent of BMWs are on the "Unreliable, Do not buy" List. Plus the 335s back seat is cramped also.
Plus, the IS is a much sleeker, sexier looking car!

IS has pretty good backseat. i'm 5"11, my friend who's 6'0" can sit behind me just fine. foot room is the only cramped part.

but i rarely drive more than 1 passenger. it's like a nice 2+2 coupe without the hassle of moving my seat when i have more than 1 passenger

Keep in mind every manufacturer measures rear legroom a bit differently as well. There really is no standard here, so it really isn't an apples/apples comparo. The only way to tell is to go drive them, get the seat where you want it and jump in the back.

That 4" that the BMW claims to have won't feel like an additional 4" compared to the Lexus.

ive been in the passenger side and the rear seating of the 250, and its not that cramped (if there's no fifth person). leg room gets compromised in any sedan with 3 in the rear. an extra 4" by BMW doesnt seem like that much, and if thats all they can claim over the lexus IS, that just means everything else on the 250/350 is consumer friendly.

the 335 isn't any better space wise from what I can remember. I have sat in both. I have people in my backseat all the time and I dont hear too much complaining. haha

If you want to do performance mods ever DO NOT get the IS. Sorry guys, I love my IS350 so much but I'm also in to modding and it doesn't come close to having the potential you get with the turbo'd 335.

+1. I am regretting everyday. The only reason I got 250 was for the fuel economy and the fact that it's not a high performance car (2.5L) so it's cheaper insurance but later I found out that the diff was not that much. I regretting erryday mann.

335i vs IS350 + mod for some extra moneh?
no brainer man. IS FTW!!
I don't know for a fact, but I am guessing the IS350 has a lot better fuel consumption than the 335i.

Also, yes, the leg room is pretty tight in the back, but a lil of that can be compensated with the fact that it's a 4dr and easy access over a coupe.
On a plus note to this, I don't know about toronto, but here in bc, our insurance is cheaper for 4dr than a coupe.

And for F-sport accessories, Sewell's got good stuff, fast shipping, but be warned if you go with their standard shipping to Canada, u gonna get a nice sum of customs charges. To avoid this customs charges, just get the Fedex International Economy over the Standard. It's also always good to lump all that u want into 1 shipping. If you can afford the big purchase that is.

Good luck with ur purchase.

How big are you guys...

I've fit 5 people many times in the is350, leg room is abit cramped but definitely not unbearable by any means.

Recently took a 350km road trip with my uncle and aunt in the back seats, uncle had his paper open (he drives an 08 Benz S550) with the armrest down and he loved the trip, giving mad props for how comfortable he felt in the back.

Get the is350, alittle less performance, better gearing /fuel economy, and focus on the looks instead of the performance of the car. Will last you well over 250xxx kms with the proper maintenance.
