Default Wheel Offset/Fitment Questions

So I'm a total newbie when it comes to wheels, but can't find a good thread to answer my questions.

In general, I'm wondering what range of wheel sizes fit the IS350 (to clear the large front brakes) and NOT rub at all. I know the F-Sports wheels are 19x8 and 19x9 with 40mm offsets and a 5-114.3 bolt pattern and assume that's a safe size even with lowering springs/coilovers.

Specifically, I'm wondering if 19x8.5 +23 and a 19x9.5 +24 wheel set would fit, and clear perfectly when I put in some lowering springs or coilovers for a 1-2" drop. Thanks for any help!

if you want a safe ride, 8.5 and 9.5 with offset at +30's range.

If you're trying to perfect drop it, you will need fender work with offset in 20's with those settings.
