Wheel/Offset Experts, Please Advise
Hi folks,
I have a 2001 GS430 that is sitting on Tanabe springs (modest 1" lowering).
I am looking at the following wheels sizes/offsets and wonder what you guys think?
F: 18x8, 1mm offset, 235-40-18
R: 18x9.5, 3mm offset, 275-35-18
Thanks

My math is telling me that this would be an extremely aggressive combo.
What matters when it comes to fender clearance is how far the outside wheel lips are from the wheel mounting hub (essentially the "front-spacing")
The 18x8 1mm will have a front-spacing of 3.96"
The 18x9.5 3mm will have a front-spacing of 4.63"
Just for reference, take an example of a wheel that has a very aggressive size/offset like the LM Reps which are 19x9.5/19x11 with a 22/25mm offset
The 19x9.5 22mm will have a front spacing of 3.88"
The 19x11 25mm will have a front spacing of 4.52"
With stretched tires it would probably work, but I like some rubber behind it. Not sure on this one...
