Default Future 2IS Owner Saying Hello!

Hey everyone,

My name is Roberto. I'm soon to be the owner of an 07+ IS350 (I have to go with the 350 and not the 250, you'll see why in a minute). I'm still in the process of selling my car. Should be gone by Wednesday tho! I've been doing a lot of research as to what car I wanted as a replacement, and always found myself going back to the IS. I think what really drew me in was the whole keyless thing. I'm a sucker for that I guess. But, I think I've had my share of fun (and trouble) with fast cars, time to slow it down a bit.

This is what the Lexus will be replacing:

My 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra 10th Anniv. (1 of 384 Black Verts made btw)
It makes good power. It made 460whp/480wtq on a conservative 91oct tune with 4 catalytic converters!!! The stock mid-pipe was killing me. Could have made an extra 15whp if I had an o/r X-pipe. Oh well.
Fun car....FAST car. I know its a HUGE downgrade power wise, but comfort wise - The IS dominates.

Still looking to find the right IS350. Looking for almost any color as long as it has the Nav/Lux package.

welcome to the club! hope you find that 350 you've been looking for. lexus comfort simply cannot be beat, and in my trying out the competition's, lexus is top notch. the 350 will be a slight transition, but a good one for you. best of luck!

I went from a Mustang vert to an IS 350-C. I miss the roar of the V8 exhaust but overall I have no regrets at all. Welcome to CL

lux package sucks. you get a rear sunshade in exchange for sport pedals and sport suspension. rather get either sport package or prem + x package.

I am positive RDAVILA702 will have his own suspension/coilover mod, getting sport pkg will be a waste, I say, go get the lexury pkg

Thanks for all the warm welcome guys. I guess I have to do a little more research on the trim levels available. Nav is a must. The ML sound system would be a plus.

I will def miss the roar from the V8. But most of all, I'll miss the instant power and whine from the supercharger.

Here's a vid of it hitting the 2-step. Gotta love that supercharger Not my best run, car dead hooked and slipped the clutch of the line. Stock clutch held up pretty good considering it's holding over 520hp @ the crank.
