Default Valet switch problem

This seems to happen every winter when it gets cold. The valet switch in the glove compartment keeps turning on. I'll press it in to disengage the switch and it stays off. But couple of days later I go to open the trunk and it won't open. I check the valet switch and it is on again.

Anybody else have something like that happen?

Have not had any issues here with the switch. Does anyone else drive your car?

its inside the glove box, top left I think. Its a little black push button that will enable or disable the trunk from opening.

Nobody else drives my car and no ghost as far as I can tell.

From what I can see, I'm the only one having this problem.

Is this on all 2IS models or just the higher packages? I asked the dealer about valet & the guy had no clue there is such feature?

It's on all of them. Just open the door to your glovebox and you'll see the switch.

Man this is so annoying. It keeps happening the whole winter. I really should take the car to the dealer to have this looked at but they're probably so busy with the recalls they won't give this proper attention.

Over 90% of the recalled cars are Toyotas, not Lexus vehicles. (and at least some lexus owners that are recalled aren't going to do the recall too)

I suspect you'd be fine getting it fixed if it's an actual problem.
