glad to hear you're fine. the accident wasnt too bad from the pic you posted. i too have been in that situation. its not a great feeling one bit. the worst part was that the guy seemed like a real **** about the whole situation (arrogant, very racial, and drawing attention to what shouldve been a straightforward procedure of exchanging info). lesson learned, my friend...

Will probably need to have the front bumper replaced as well as the front left fender. Was also wondering, does anyone know if the Lexus collision body shop can also mold the front lip onto the bumper and paint it? The front lip was a little damaged, and trying to see if I can get this all done.

Glad to hear you are OK Jeff. Sorry to hear about your car. Did the new CF lip suffer alot of damage? Ask around about molding the CF lip to your bumper. You are already scraping Good luck on the repairs

My front lip just has a small break in it, probably the size of a half dollar to where the mount is. Insurance adjuster gave us an estimate for it, using refurbished/junk yard parts. We took the car to Lexus where it will get a new parts. They also mentioned that they would fix my CF front lip and buff it all to match. Is that even possible without painting the front lip? Lexus dealership FTW for once!

PS: They efffed up my rho plate mount >_<

Looks like they'll be changing the CF Fab front lip to a GFX one...
Insurance also said that any mods we should report to them as soon as they are installed. You guys tell Insurance about your mods? Sounds like another way they can raise premiums.

Got the car back, and got to see it last night. It's staying at home for the semester garaged, and most likely won't be driven until summer.

Pics off my blackberry tour, really pleased with the way Longo Lexus treated us and took care of everything. They haven't mounted the front license plate yet because they want the plastic piece, and I'm thinking of keeping it this way. Will cops give me problems if I just keep the license plate in the front window like I have it now because I would hate to drill holes again

however, be wary of getting pulled over/cited for no front plates. it IS california after all...

Looks good. If you have a cop friend or family member just let him know you will see him to sign off a fix-it ticket (that's what I do.).

Do you guys think having it in the front windshield though is okay? I have gotten a fix it ticket before for having no front plate. It is visible from the front of the car, so I can't really see a problem, except for CA to get more money

Turn your head and check blind spots don't just use mirrors. I see so many people do this and are so lazy to turn their heads.

The repairs look great. Nice to hear the Lexus dealership treated you good! Did they use 3M tape or drill holes for your GFX lip?

Looks good... I wanted to know if the plate in the window was acceptable too... but my car came with the front plate holder already on so I left it alone
