Default gas mileage.

Hey guys when i first got my IS250 in june i was getting avg 400 miles per tank. This was driving about 60% highway and 40% city. Now I get about 375. After installing my exhaust I have notice about 350. Any opinions or thoughts on whats going on? What are yall getting?

you're trying to listen to your exhaust thus using your left foot more

Same thing here. I've been getting a lost of km per tank now. I'm not sure if its because of the fujita intake I put in, but technically speaking, shouldn't it improve gas milage since there's better air flow?

I'm driving a 08 IS250 AWD, and I do about 80% city, and 20% highway driving. I've been getting 480-520km on a full tank, and that's mostly normal driving. Past two fill ups, I have barely touched 400km before having to pull into a gas station again. I'm not sure whats happening, I thought it was a bad batch of gas at first, but after a second run at it, I'm still getting crappy gas milages.

^^ With a 250!!! What sort of driving do you do (city/HW)? Lead foot? For comparisons sake, my 350 gets 300-330 miles each tank. Crazy enough I drive about 90% city and 10% HW.

To the OP: Try taking it easier on your next tank of gas and see what happens.

The intake should have no impact on mileage at all. That why there's a MAF.

If a cheap intake could significantly improve mileage Lexus would've put one on the car from the factory to improve their CAFE numbers.

Many other things, including weather, can have significant imapct on mileage though (gas formulations, driving habits, traffic patterns, engine efficiency, and more all change with weather)

And FWIW I generally get over 300 miles before my gas light comes on, and I've got an IS350. Could certainly get at least 350 before I was genuinely empty, probably more... and my driving's largely city too.

Well, I do a mostly city driving... and a lot of driving in hilly areas. I Do average 30+ on the freeway though ...

The only time I use the freeway for a decent amount of time is once a week (~15 miles), otherwise its only for a few min...

I've had my IS for four years now. Mileage always drops in the winter; likely a combination of colder temperatures and winter blend gas.

Well I have a 250 and I get 300 - 325 on 3/4 tank so I could probably get 400.... I do about 50 50 freeway streets.... all about how fast ur drivin dude... I did get less gas milage when I put my exhaust on. Ya kno just listenin to it. Like the other guy said take it easy and see what happens. I'm sure it will go up a bit
