That is some bad *** luck, imagine if you had not seen him coming and moved away.

You should get yourself checked out and everything else will follow.

Glad to know that you're okay. I dunno if it's just me but I've seen A LOT of careless drivers in Southern California these last few weeks... bleh

Man... that sucks. I just got my IS and now I'm even more afraid of reckless drivers.

Good to see you're still alive and kickin!

Good to know your ok. I hate seeing these kind of photos (especially IS's), but it definitely makes me more aware that things like this can happen when driving. Hope you can fix her up and get her back on the road soon.

Consider selling it only after you are compensated for the diminished value of the car.

just curious, what did u do after the accident? did u have to call 911, ur insurance company?...or did u just work out a deal with the guy? but how would u know how much does the damage cost?

Never been in an accident, so just wondering....

^^always call 911, file a police report, then notify both insurance companies for accidents you can't afford to lose money on.

can't be buffed out huh? jeez, i mean did the driver even have brakes?

^I don't fully agree, if its not such a huge thing like this was, then I think it would be better to just settle a deal with the guy.

My friend had an accident while i was with him and because he was afraid of insurance going up, we just called my body shop guy, he came down and told us how much the repairs are, the guy payed for the repairs and payed for a rental while the car was getting repaired.

Yes and this was a huge thing with thousands of dollars in repair costs and injuries. OP did the right thing by involving police and both insurance companies.
