Default Premium LED Interior Lighting Kit?

Is this kit worth $86 plus shipping. This is what you get:

3 Map Light Bulbs: T-10 1 LED Wedge
2 Rear Light Bulbs: 31mm 6 SMD Festoon
2 Door Bulbs
2 Clear door lens

Just wondering if anyone has bought it and thought it was worth the money?

My opinion is no. You should look at this guy to buy the same bulbs, many CL members have recommended him and some of buddies that own Scions recommend him as well.

I haven't bought that particular kit. I know that the ES clear door lens run around $30 from the dealership. so $60 for 7 bulbs might not be so bad depending on the type of bulbs and how brght they are.

I just got LED boards from Nigel. Two for the front doors and one for the trunk. So far everything works great. It is super bright. Planning on getting a couple more in the future for the dome lights.

Here's a link if you want to check it out. Just shoot Nigel a PM, he'll answer all your questions. Great person to deal with. Good luck.

They are pretty bright and very easy to install, takes like 10 minutes to install everything.

80 dollars for small light bulbs that's crazy!!! My
friend changed his entire m3 interior lights only costed him around 10 dollars from
this led discount site. So I don't think 80 dollars is worth it unless your pretty loaded

that's great that your friend changed his m3 interior lights for ~$10, but you're not comparing apples to apples.

as a few posts have said earlier, the clear door lenses for the 2is cost ~$30 from a dealership's parts department. as i'm sure you can get LED's for cheap, you can probably duplicate what the premium LED interior lighting kit does for less than $50.

in short, you can duplicate the premium LED interior lighting kit for less than $80. how much less is up to how savvy you are at getting those items for less than their dollar value.

Beware of low cost LED products. They end up failing quite fast and you end up spending more money on replacements. There is also a large difference in brightness between the varying products. I just got some pictures of our LED Dome lights kits installed in an Odyssey. I can't believe how bright these things are:

The same LED dome light kit is available for the IS as well:
