Default Cutting Fenders

Hey guys, I was told that if you cut your fenders, it'll get too hott and mess up the paint. Is this true? I need to cut my fenders because rolling them just isnt working out, im still rubbing like crazy, and i heard you get more clearence with a fender cut.

if u do it right it wont mess up ur paint, my opinion..it does give more room than rolling them, since that extra flap u just rolled isint there

if you got painters tape and a dremel cutter (with lots of rotary blades)...then you're in business.

So im guess you use the painters tape on the outer edge of the fender...and just start goin to town on the fender with the blades?

If you never cut a fender, honestly I wouldn't even try. Your car is too nice to be a test lab.

My suggestion...take it to a highend bodyshop and have them cut the fenders for you. I'm taking my car to a reputable and highend auto restoration shop. If you live in Bay Area I can give you his contact info. His shop does amazing work with restoration, which equals the best in the industry when it comes to metal fabrications.
