I recently purchased a kit from http://www.wooddash.com/item/LEXUS_D..._IS250_2006_UP The middle part of the kit does not sit flush & is too short. The under part of the center console shows on both sides. Is this how its supposed to be or is this kit just bad & should be refunded?

 

This kit was discussed previously as a poor fit.

Yes, but it will cost you a lot more than what you paid for the Wooddash kit. I believe one is for sale in the CL IS classified section.

 

Bump for anyone that knows. My middle console has swirl marks where the paint is messed up & need to cover it w something to look better.

i have that dash kit from wood dash and had the same problem. Since my center console was already messed up, which is the reason I needed an overlay, I just sprayed the entire console a greyish black color so the sides would blend in with the cf overlay better. It isnt perfect, but it makes it blend in pretty well unless you stare at it and know its there.

i think carson used to sell a cf overlay which was a perfect fit, but they were in the range of $350+.

 

Just found one on eBay for 280. Wondering if this is carlsson or what.

 

The wooddash kits have a chrome strip to put on the sides where the oem wood still shows through. Thats one reason why I went with neffy wrap instead of the wooddash kits

 

i had neffy wrap and managed to snag it and it started to unravel. So I took it off and my center console was completely jacked up from removing it(silver trim). So thats why I ordered the wood dash kit.

I didn't receive any chrome strips for the side, maybe they forgot to put it in my box.
