I want to be able to lift and close my trunk lid with the touch of a button to show off my trunk display (while i still have it, I may have to sell it, but i'll keep modding until then).




A local shop has the part. something similar to this, and they can install it but I'd like to try it out myself and save myself some cash if it's not terribly complicated.


Does anyone have any experience with things like this? If so I have a few questions such as:
General installation difficulty?
Impact when closing? I have a mechanized tract behind the fiberglass on the trunk lid for the trunk lid monitors that I wouldnt want damaged.
