CJITTY You should be good with the size your running rite now. The IS/GS are a 30/70 split so not the same as the LS awd. But rule of thumb still applies closer you are to the rolling diameter the better. As for the warning light comming up i dont even think there one. I know there was a member who drove around with the wrong tires on didnt know till the rear diff shaft snapped. The 255-30 should work but i ask a tire shop like tirerack. They can give you a true answer on that.

As far as the AWD, is the IS/GS always 30/70 or does it vary like the LS's? I found this section of an article below regarding the LS AWD system:
"All-wheel drive is available on the non-hybrid models, also, and it features a Torsen limited-slip center differential to distribute torque between the front and rear tires. Normally, the front-to-rear torque split is set at 40:60 but it can vary between 30:70 and 50:50 depending on driving conditions. The bottom line is stable traction in any conditions"
I have the hybrid so I wonder if it is different due to the hybrid system regenerating power back to battery, etc.

Hey thanks..I spoke to Discount Tire and they told me that since I rarely travel at high speeds or long distances to just run out the 245/30s and then switch up to 255/30 fronts when I really need to..i will keep it at near max psi to make sure I keep the tire holding up as much as it should. I have been told that tire load ratings are very conservative in their estimates assuming folks are going to go overboard lol
