I've been looking for a DIY for removing the headlamps, searched real quick and didn't find one. thinking about blacking mine out myself. anybody here done it before? to take out the headlamps do u need to take off the front bumper? thanks

Yep, gotta take the bumper off. There are two screws on the top of headlight and one on the side, then you simply unplug the harness and it will come off.

 

in that thread one guy posted that it was a pain to put the new headlamp in, u say its just one bolt and a wiring harness? how can that be a pain haha btw. i've got NON-HID and AFs ones, w/ aftermarket HID kit installed. so none of that AFS crap to deal with

 

its not too hard, just make sure you take zip lock bags and separate all the screws and label them
