How to take out headlights and foglights??
#5
To remove the fog light and headlight assemblies, you need to remove the front bumper. It is a pretty straight forward procedure, just take your time and be careful not to break any clips and be aware that both the headlights and fogs have aim adjustments on them. Try not to alter their aim during removal/installation if you can.

If you have stock HIDs, I would let a professional do it as dealing with the AFS motor and calibration is a challenge.
If you have halogens, you need to do the following:
1. Remove engine covers
2. Remove upper front fender protectors
3. Remove entire front bumper fascia
4. Remove cold air intake assembly
5. Remove front energy absorbing bumper
6. Disconnect all wirong harnesses
7. Remove headlight assembly
8. Remove No.1 headlight, No.2 headlight, parking light, and 2x7440 turn indicator bulbs
I would highly recommend buying a $10 one day subscription to Toyota Techinfo for the detailed diagrams.

If you're going to remove BOTH the fogs and the headlights, then I'd just go ahead and take off the front bumper. It's not that hard to do, most of it is held in by clips:
By the way, I find it funny that even the car in the FSM diagrams couldn't avoid getting the front license plate holes!!!
