i recently got pulled over in Richmond for no front plates....cops was a D*CK... didnt feel like paying $70 for a license plate holder so i zip tied it to my grill.....
I did exactly what venZon did. Except his looks like it was cut to be smaller, therefore, your CA plate won't look like that hanging over your ings front lip. I just put it on and bent the plate forward so it doesn't hang below my ings front lip and doesn't slap against it either.

Well rules a rule. That is why it is better to not play the risks and just cover your behind rite? If it were, Vancouver, Canada - this is enforced. A few weeks ago when brought my car to the border for the weekend, the Canada customs officer was actually asking me about my front plate because the car was new and I only had a paper trip permit on the car and no plates.
I would just go zip tie it. MiiK350 actually did this to his car. Tried to find a photo but looks like it has been removed.
I'm not sure how there "universal bracket" fits on, it looks like maybe with 3m doubleside auto tape but http://www.customeuropeanplates.com was my solution. Just get a euro style front plate, flows better with the lines and like I said it looks like it might mount with 3m, so hopefully no holes.

I don't think this is Legal in California its just like cutting your plates... On top of that I thought only DMV can customize your plates?
