I have an '09 IS 350 and I know what you're talking about, if you turn it to the very extreme I will hear some clicks. They are very very faint though, and also like you I can feel them through the wheel. It's not too big of a deal to me, I'm fairly sure it's nothing major.
The "click" in my steering wheel was really that noticeble with sound and feel. I didn't care so much when it first appeared, but after few days it got worse and I decide to leave it to the tech to do something about it.

The tech said it was a "clip" was loose in the column behind the steering wheel. He also re-mounted/tightened the plastic frames above the pedals which were a bit loose. But now I got clicks from the turning signal instead (Note: NOT the normal turning signal clicks. I'm not that stupid ) and also I got a 5mm gap to the right of the start button... annnd... a dispositioned whiper wamer button to the left.... ANNND the frame surounding the ECT power button is a bit loose too now. I almost laughed of the poor job...

Well, I got this car a mounth now and I feel the quality of the car is far from as good as I expect a Lexus should be (All problem above plus poorly fitment of the front bumper at the driver side, the poping sound here and there specially from the frame around the NAV screen, dusty brakes, loud squeezing sound from the front brakes, the loud knocking sound to the brake pedal causing by power tilt steering wheel when start the car.. etc) . Bought it fully loaded for almost 60k USD (yeah, it's damn expensive here in SWE.) I should be picky right? Where is the L-finess Lexus is so proud of???

I showed the above problems to the dealer yesterday and will leave my car there again (hopefully this week) and see if they can address all problems...sigh...

Sorry for the whine... Just want to vent my frustration. Guess I'm just a unlucky guy.

You know I hate to say this but upon really focusing on the noise, I realized there are actually no clicks in my steering wheel. The noise I am referring to I think MAY be "rubbing" of some sort of the tires against the wheel well? Does this sound reasonable to you guys?

I can hear some sort of tire noise, it sounds like the noise tires make when you turn them without moving only slightly louder, and it only occurs when I turn the wheel maximally.

Sorry I guess the steering wheel click issue is not normal because I don't have it.
