not if he doesn't have the budget.

speaking of which, why do certain 2is owners keep making dumb mod suggestions/advice without ever considering whether that mod is affordable for the person seeking suggestions/advice?

you're not the first person to jump on my back on the springs vs. coilovers argument, so allow me to revisit an earlier post in another thread (edited to remove thread-irrelevant content):

in my previous posts and in other threads i was not bashing on coilovers. as a matter of fact, i would totally recommend going with coilovers - if it was within budget and need. when it comes to modifications, "what i can afford > what i need > what i want"...

... i agree with the OP that he should go with springs. it's within his budget, and they will reduce the ride height... if he can afford coilovers, and they're exactly what he needs, then by all means get a set.

if you're going to jump on my back, at least read and fully understand what i'm saying first. otherwise, you'll just be making a lot of noise but not saying much.
fyi, this post was from early july. and - again - fyi, i've always maintained this stance: afford > need > want.

don't be stupid and assume that just because i encourage 2is owners to get springs that i am bashing on coilovers. i take into consideration the advice-seeker's budget and needs, and then i make an educated suggestion or give advice based on it. telling people they should get this-or-that without understanding what they can afford actually does more harm than good.

by the way, wouldn't it NOT make sense if i bashed on something i have in my 2is? (read: i'm not on tein s-techs anymore; i'll just leave it at that.)

next time before you throw my name under the bus, get your facts right. otherwise, like i said in my quote: you'll just be making a lot of noise but not saying much. /OT

and in other news...

those LED's look good. definitely a good way to turn an interior from bland into... not so bland.
