Scammer alert beware!
there's absolutely no reason to knock on their house...do remember...in Texas it is to shoot first then ask question. He/She may say you're trying to break in. It is obvious that the scammer planned it where paypal is on his side...best thing is to get your credit card company reverse the charge.
you should definitely be able to get your money back from your credit card company
I got scammed once few month ago by this member in CL who lives is SoCal..
I found him on Facebook,,got his AIM SN and I can pretty much track his a$$ down and beat the crap out of this kid..but I didn't..it's not worth..and I didn't wanna deal with a loser LOL
just send back the stuff that you received to the address shown in paypal..and the credit card company should reverse your payment

well the last thing i wanna do is start any trouble. if anybody steps up to this guy, or tries to contact him in anyway, thats at your own discretion. I will do what the credit card company said, and at least attempt a delivery back to the person. After that it'll be up to the credit card company to see if i get my money back.

We have extensive classified rules and the moderator team is very active in enforcing them. We also have posted buying safety guidelines (which unfortuntately weren't followed by the buyer or the seller regarding high dollar sales / new members). We also have implemented iTrader and prior to that a detailed buyer/seller feedback forum.
I don't know of any automotive forum that does as much as we do to try and prevent ripoffs and assist with followup and mediation after the fact.
Our enforcement of our 'no physical threats' rule has absolutely nothing to do with consumer protection. It is both an ethical and legal position our forum has taken since its foundation regardless of the situation. You physically threaten someone, you are gone from CL.
If you want to discuss this further you can PM me; I felt your erroneus statement needed a public reply.
