Dealer lied about headlights.
wait. i just have a question. isn't false advertising against the law? so in a way, the sales person falsely advertised the product! you deserve a refund or the dealership should get punished.
i guess you could say "you shoulda checked the car before you signed it" but i dont think ordinary people could tell the different between HIDs and regular without the lights being on, and prolly werent on since dealerships close early. anyways. you should definitely get a refund. that's total BS. maybe get even more than you deserve out of it.

Hard to prove and not worth pursuing, especially if it was strictly verbal.
^ +1
most you can do is file a formal complaint and see what comes of it. also, temper your expectations as far as any type of compensation is concerned.
btw, why not just get an aftermarket HID kit and call it a day?

Unless you have an invoice describing the car as being equipped with HID it would be difficult to prove. "He said she said" at best and any sale person that would lie to you about equippment will also deny ever saying it. Used cars here are sold AS IS.
That being said I would still pursue the issue with the dealerships GM and hope for the best. Having been in the buisness I can tell you sales people want to have a rep. of being hard core among their fellow sales people. Same goes with Sales managers. To give $ away makes you look week. General Managers don't have to live so much by that code and are a little more pluged into the customer satisfaction aspects.
Always go to the top. My 02.

^ they'll only "steal" from the uninformed and naive.
never assume anything, and get everything in writing. doing proper research ahead of time and paying attention to all the little details helps to avoid situations like this.

Tip: I purchased a 07 CPO IS350 last year. Since they didn't have the MSRP window sticker in the owners manual packet (like they did on my CPO Mercedes ML350), they printed a full detailed equivalent just by entering the VIN number and it showed every option and pricing.
It can be confusing because MOST have them but he (^^^) is right, it's an option.
I stand by my first post in this thread though - just got back there and punch him in the face.

Well this is news to me. How do you tell if you have HID's? In a previous reply to this thread someone said to "cycle through the option on the dash switch"? what dash switch? the one that you use to adjust you tach/spedo light and reset you tpm's?
If there's an option to turn AFS on/off then the car has HIDs, if there isn't, it doesn't. Quite simple and doesn't require you to have any idea what an HID headlamp looks or sounds like.

I thought all 350's had HID's?
