So I parked my car ALL the way on the top floor of the parking structure today FAR off from everyone else... My floor leads straight to the top of the structure so from my window I have a perfect view of my car. While working I notice a moving truck park 3 spaces away from my car... while 3/4ths of the top floor was empty. 1st bad sign I couldn't get away from my desk to move the car away until lunch (in 2 hours.) I watched the movers move office furniture carefully into the truck with ease. Then BOOM!!! one guy some how slips and drops the side of a long shelf and it scratches my the top driver side of my car and slides down scratching the rest of my roof... I ran out and ripped them a new hole. They offered me 150 dollars for not telling their boss cause they'd lose their jobs...

1.5 hours and 3 raw fingers later... =]

I used the 150 they gave me and finished buying the rest of my detailing stuff and worked it out. Theres still a slight tiny dent but its whatever i guess.

I took the pictures with my phone hence the ****ty quality. That was my rant for today haha

I hate when I park far and people park right next to me. I would have tried to take advantage of the situation and ask for more haha. At least you got some free products out of it.

danm.. and you just bought the car... people say that if you care soooo much about something than bad things will happen... lol.. i mean you can see your car from you office...

ironic how you were eyeing it huh..the day i got my first ding..i felt like it was going to happen, i was watching my car as i was eating but i watched the wrong side..i thought it was going to be the passenger side, when it ended up to be the driver's ..and i got dinged three times!

hahaha come on guys, i JUST got my car on saturday. you think i'm going to let them off with just 150? they owe me an additional 300 each. i photocopied their license and id cards and just finished working out a deal with them earlier tonight. theyre meeting me at the office tomorrow so drop off the money. i have my co-workers as witness's so they can't back out woot! i'm just glad the scratches werent deep. although it is dinged a bit but i feel adequately compensated.

 

Wow, you're one reasonable guy! I would of had their asses fired on the spot without a question, i would also tell their boss that they were trying to bribe me. $750 isn't bad though!

I have the same problem. No matter how far I park away from everyone, somebody parks so close that I cannot open the driver side door OR somebody does a hit and run on the car.
