I wasn't aware 9.1 was out yet, at least not as a separate part. (Probably coming in the MY2010 convertibles)

The 2008 cars came with 7.1, the 2009s come with 8.1. Your 2008 only has 8.1 if you upgraded.

I haven't received a notice in the mail. I thought 8.1 just released?

Yes, loads of people. You can get it at your dealer parts department, from the online vendors here, sometimes people have them on eBay.

If you are fishing for a pirated copy, don't even think about doing it here. It's against the rules you agreed to when you joined the site, and an activity we have zero tolerance for.

Glad to hear it, no offense intended.

In terms of the software, I see no change from 7.1. The only version that had the override button was 5.1 -- and that version you have to press "I agree" every time you start the car. (also all but the latest version of 5.1 had a software bug that caused periodic problems getting a GPS lock) The maps seem to be significantly updated between 7.1 and 8.1, there are many (newer) developments in our area that are missing on 7.1 and were added on 8.1.

I think i have 2007 with 6.1, and I still have to press the I agree button. Which version automatically moves on pass the warning message?

Version 7.1 and greater display the disclaimer for a short time and then move on without the need to press "I agree".

Thanks for that fast reply. Are the DVD's vehicle specific? Just curious if I have to get the IS specific one, but I may wait for the version 9.1 later this year, it's just that pressing "I agree" at least 3 times a day is beginning to annoy me...
