So it was super slow in the shop today, so i took the really ugly TPMS retainer nut and valve stem cap and painted them with some ceramic engine paint. Turned out decent enough.. definitely blends better than the stock silver. Comments, please.
Oh yea, and IS350 brakes front and rear, haha.

They match your lugnuts
Did you replace or modify the rear dust shields? If you modified them, did you just bend them back or cut them?
Also, did you do any type of "bedding in" procedure with your new rotors and brake pads? Would just driving easy avoiding abrupt stops for the first 500 miles be enough to coat the rotor with a thin layer or brakepad material? Or would you recommend something more extreme like hard braking from 60mph down to 10mph for like 10 times in a row?

Bedding pads you will get different answers from everyone. Basically, you need to do a few hard stops, but dont overheat the rotors. You're supposed to let them cool in between hard stops. And NEVER come to a complete stop with the brake pedal applied.. this will cause uneven pad material transfer, and could cause a vibration. Do a few of these hard stops, let it cool, repeat, and then go drive it like normal after that. Should be fine
Ive been doing it that way for almost 10 years, no problems yet!
I replaced the front backing plates with the IS350 ones, i then trimmed the rear backing plates to make it all fit right.
Thanks for the compliments guys! We'll see how well the paint holds up to the elements and car washes.
