I'm seeing at least 7 more years on my '06. What a great car. What more could I need? Well, now that I ask that question, there is always something more I NEED!! I do have to keep it long enough to completely figure out the Nav system though.

i've had my baby for 2 years. i'd love to keep it forever but who knows, so many nice cars coming out left and right.

S5, 335d, Evora, Camaro, HS250H, etc etc

It's very tempting but, it's a money issue for me.

This question comes up in the car world from time to time and I've noticed a pattern with the answers. There seems to be two catagories.
1) Those who claim they'll "drive it til the wheels fall off." Then a new model comes out two years later and the plan is thrown away. My dad has said this for the last 20 years, yet ends up getting a new car every three years. There is something about being a consumer and sitting behind the wheel of a shiny new car with new car smell.... hard to resist.
2) Those who say, "I'm getting this $$$ vehicle next..." ...and it never happens. I am like this. I like to think with my eyes, rather than more practical. Human nature for a car lover.
Having said that, my next car will be a white Bentley. Errr, I mean I'd like to graduate to a GS. Then again, it would be nice to stop paying rent and actually own a place. See how this happens so easily?

I purposely bought the IS for the long haul, hence why I got everything I wanted. I plan to keep it for at least 6+ years, with exceptions being significant issues or some really noteworthy sedan that may come down the line.

Otherwise, so far as cars go, it will simply serve as a dailiy driver, while I enjoy my other projects.

31 more months. :-)

Only reason I wouldn't buy out the lease is b/c I must have ML in my next one... and black is a PITA to take care of for a daily. Love the car though. Might shoot for an "F".
