I bought my IS350 w/o the electrochromatic option for the side mirrors. Does anyone know how it's any different from the ones that have it and don't? It can't be as easy as ordering a set from an OEM parts dealer, right? My guess is, it has extra wires which connect to the rearview mirror?

 

might be little more than just wires and connecting to the rear view mirror. I think they also auto-tilt when you go into reverse. Might have a separate wiring harness that you need to tap into. GL!

 

What are you trying to do? If you are planning to put one on it will cost you a lot and a lot of time trying to figure out the wirings. Its about $500 per side mirror.

 

I thought all IS's came with auto-dimming mirrors inside and out. Was it solo back in '06 or?

 

no IS comes with that standard ^^^

 

most likely it will cost more money then you want to spend on that mod.

 

It's part of the Luxury or Sport packages only
