i suppose that since you're in iceland, your options are limited.

while i have no issues w/ my ML system, i've heard cases of amps/sound processors going south and speakers blowing out.

of course, just not to this extent...

Ha ha, thas some funny sh&t right there.

B@tm@n, I think he was clownin on your thread title and how you spelled it, "Levingson". It's Levinson player, NOT "Levingson".

Oh, I guess since your not in the US, it makes sense.

At 42, that's pretty loud. If your bass is set in the middle and your listening to a bass heavy CD at volume 42, bye bye speakers. It sounds like abuse. I've had my volume cranked up to about 40 and felt there were some bass notes that were going to damage the speakers so I turned it down. BTW, I keep my bass set at 1 click below the middle.

Volume 42 with your bass boost is just too much. That is the reason you are blowing speakers. For a normally recorded CD, there is no reason to ever go above 30 unless you have severe hearing damage. If you already dont have severe hearing damage, then you will soon

^^^Yea man they are right, i listen to mine in that range and higher and i have blown my speakers out twice already. These speakers are made to sounds great in middle ranges of loudness. I think when you raise up the volume a bit too much you put too much stress on them

Depending on the type of music I'm listening to, I'm usually between 18-30, at most, with the bass levels ranging. Nearing 3 years of ownership, I've had no problems with the ML system.

Using additive EQ coupled with high volumes and with weak amplifiers is just asking for blown speakers.

I had my sub replaced once. I usually listen at 45. Many members have had theirs replaced also. They are known to blow. If mine goes after warranty, I will replace with aftermarket.

what year is your car? 06? I think they covered bumber to bumber 4 years right? I think you have a high current drain in your amp at that channel. You should tell lexus dealer that you have the same problem 3 times already so they'll have to replace the amplify for you.

Given the significant difference in wattage of the systems I would expect that it's different
