I hit a pothole & have a separation in my front right tire, so I need to replace it. I'm on the stock Dunlop SP Sport 5000 M's, and am having a hell of a time finding a shop that has them in stock.

Do I have to replace it with that same tire, or is a similar sized tire enough? Would it make a big difference?

 

You have to replace it with same tire or replace the two front tires w. something similar...as long as your car is not awd model.

 

If you decide to replace two or more tires and they are 17" I may be interested in your other tire. I live close to Ottawa and suffered something similar last fall. If you interested please PM me.
