Default reset airbag

Does anyone know if airbags can be reset after an accident or does the whole module need to be replaced? I know on g35 and 5 series bimmer they can simply be reset but what about 2nd gen ISx50???

Thanks in advance.
Please don't tell me to take it to the dealer because i've done airbags on several different car makes and capable of resetting airbag if it is possible.

The module can be reset, I've just done it on my salvage. PM me if you need info on the shop that did the reset for me.

^^^hey thanks alot! Since you are in GA i don't think it will help me. Anyways, this reminds me to be more clear. When I mentioned resetting the module that means, not having to tap into the srs module itself. I mean a series of sequences that you do such as inserting the key and hitting a few buttons on your cars to reset it. Which is the case on G35. In your case, I think you are referring to actually re-chipping the SRS module which i'm weary of doing.

Document attached. I've always used a paper clip instead of the SST.

^^ hey thanks alot but is this for the 2nd gen ISx50? I'm new to this vehicle but how do you turn the engine switch to IG? I don't see a place for me to insert the key. There is only a push start button.

Yeah, I had to yank the module out and mail it to this guy (he only does business via mail - you mail in the module to him with a payment, he re-chips it and sends it back to you the next day).

I wish there was a way to just stick some pins and reset the module after a collision with deployed air bags on an IS, but I don't believe that's possible.

^^ Thanks. Do you also know what causes the air bags to deploy on the ISx50?? Is it like the other cars where the the srs sensor on the frame of the body gets crushed and that sets off the air bag? Or does it use some kind of sonar and the sensor does not have to even be touched?

Does anyone know where the airbag comes out for the front passenger? I am not describing the knee airbag, rather the one above. I ask because I have my front plate pinched between the windshield and the dash and I am concerned that the passenger airbag if activated might launch the plate.

Thanks!

^^put yourself in the passenger side, look straight at the dash, that's where it comes out. Lexus sucks for making you have to replace the dash when the air bag deploy. Also it will break your windshield when the airbag deploy!!! money making plot from lexus. I think your license plat pinched between the glass and dash is safe. DO NOT put anything on the passenger side of the dash.

Wow, is this true? It seems that many of us put our plate up in the front windshield to avoid holes in our front bumper, and an ugly front bumper plate.
