Why I love Supras so much
I had been looking at wheels and their dimensions. After riding on the stock 18" wheels with 15mm rear H&R spacers I was determined to find a set of wheels that were wider.
Stock wheels are 18X8+45 and 18X8.5+50. So the outside is the same location. The inside are deeper on the rears. After riding on 15mm rear spacers the vehicle did understeer less. I liked the way the rears fit flush and didn't rub. The front was left alone since I didn't wan't to throw off the scrub radius.
The F-sport wheels are 19X8+40 and 19X9+40. They fit like I wanted them and the vehicles I drove with them felt great but I hate 19s. There is hardly a tire on them. The problem gets worse since they are generally heavier, ride quality sucks and the traction is problematic from the shorter profile.
I basically was looking for a set of lightweight Volks in 18X8.5+40 and 18X9.5+40 and stumbled across a deal on them on Supraforums. It turned out a Florida owner couldn't get enough traction from vehicle so he invested in a set of CCW wheels and was selling the exact set of wheels I was looking for in a LE37T (MKIV Supra fitment Limited edition in '03). They are basically TE37 in Greyish Silver with an Alumite finish lip.
The tires were shot so I threw a set of Nitto 555ZRs 235/40 & 275/35 I had laying around and did my magic on the center caps and came out amazing.

Those are Volk Center caps modded with the OEM caps within them.
They were originally the LE37 caps. They had gold rings with a Faux CF center (plastic). The plastic was falling apart. I soaked them in brake cleaned and it disolved the double sided tape and the cap fell apart. I then found a paint match for the wheels and had a 35mm camera film vial worth of paint mixed. I took the OEM Lexus caps and ground down the tabs and removed the chrome "L"s. I then used the gold rings from the LE37 caps to outline the outer edge for the OEM caps. I then ground the tabs off the back of the OEM caps and the sides to fit the billet part of the LE37 caps. After painting and clearcoating the caps, I reattached the "L"s and with some new doublesided tape they went on the LE37 caps. In person they look amazing. I'm tempted to remove the Volk Racing sticker from the spoke but leave the LE37 on the lip.

The centercaps look a little out of place. Just my $.02
