Default P/S light turned on??

WOndering if anybody has heard or had this happen to them. Out of no where when I turn the steering while clockwise the steering is fine. As soon as I turn it counter clockwise the PS light comes on and steering feels like a 98 tercel with no power steering. Wondering if there are any thoughts or ideas? thnx ya'll

There is a TSIB out there for the PS rack. I received a letter from Lexus regarding this, along with the fuel rail recall and the rear brake TSIB. You should probably see your dealer about this if you haven't already received this letter.. Good luck.

The power steering on the IS is electric. The warning light means there is a system fault with the electric power steering. Take it in to the dealer for diagnosis.
