Default Headrest rattle

For awhile I thought I had rattles in the seatbelt adjuster on the b-pillar (which I may still), but I realized the major source of rattle in my car was coming from the driver's and passenger side head rests. (The rattle would stop if I put my hand or head against the head rest.)

Any vibration on less than ideal surface, or when I hit a bump the head rests would rattle in place. The dealer told me the only thing they could do is replace it, and I decided I'd try and tackle it on my own.

While it's maybe not the best fix, I removed the head rests making note of which setting I use and place a strip of scotch tape on the lower part of the shaft. This was enough to give the head rest a tighter fit and not rattle. It's been about 6 mos. and the head rest rattle hasn't come back.

Just thought I'd share.
