I've had my 2009 IS 350 for about one month and love the car. But one thing that sort of bugs me is that there is a square-shaped "mark" of some kind around the circular speaker that is on top of the dashboard, in the center (I have Mark Levinson, not sure if that makes a difference).

The mark is like a shadow, almost like the dash is two different colors. It's sort of like on some cars how you can see a shadow in the dash for the passenger-side airbag. Or as if someone placed a sheet of paper on that area and the rest of the dash faded while the covered area did not.

This is hard to describe, but I guess if somebody has this on their car they'll know what I'm talking about. Does anybody else have this "problem?"

 

if you have ML, then that is your center channel. If you do not have ML, then it serves no purpose. I think all 2IS has this square piece,

thats where your sub is at...i have an 07 not ML though, we have square...but its no purpose for me since i dont have ML...for me its just a deisgn....

 

No, the sub is in the trunk/back deck.... the grill on the dash is the center channel speaker if you have ML, or just an empty space if you do not.

 

^^^^ thats what mean...mah bad the center channel speaker...is the one on the front, nt the sub..
