Has any one put a speaker in the center dash area without mark levinson system. Will like to put one but need help in taping wire for the speaker ( were and color of the wire + and -)

I could be wrong, but I believe I've read that the wiring harnesses are different on Mark Levinson equipped vehicles.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning on feeding the speaker? The ML radio is a surround system, and that dash speaker is for the dedicated center channel. The base radio does not have surround sound capability; and simply adding a Y adapter to mix left and right would reduce the stereo effect, which doesn't sound like an improvement.

 

ok , i was planing in puting a Hertz coaxial DCX 87.3 in that place. So if i do will i have to feed the speaker with a new amp or what will i have to do

 

IMO it is a waste of time and won't really improve anything.

If you are trying to improve sound quality, you will have to replace the speakers and possibly the amp, if you just want more bass, add a sub or two.

I have 2 JL 10W6's powered by a JL 1000/1 amp and it sounds pretty good. My only issue is the door rattles sometimes but, eventually I will get around to fixing that.
