Opened her up last night
I opened her for the first time last night. Just a quick jaunt from a standstill to about 60. Impressions? A bit slow off the mark (expected) but once she got on the boil (around 4k) she pulled pretty good. What surprised me was that she makes pretty good sounds, even stock.
I don't open my cars up much so this was fun for me. I used to when I was much younger. When I was 24 I bought a 454 4 speed Corvette. At 25, a 1969 Z28/RS Camaro. I opened those cars up regularly. Heck, that was the way the were supposed to be driven.
Those were the days.....

Yeah I used to own a 250 also and it's pretty peppy for the lack of power it has. But it just starts dying out on top. Raced a 300c with I think 22" rims from a light and I was ahead by a nose. Kept up with it to about 40mph then just got swallowed after that. I think the only reason why I was ahead for a tad bit because the 300c was just sittin there trying to get traction lol.
